We are a UK based practice that is architect-led, with regional studios in London, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Doha, Algeria and Hong Kong from where we work across Europe, the Middle East, North Africa and Asia.

We offer multi-disciplinary services for urban design, architecture, interior design, landscape design, civil and structural engineering, building services engineering, cost control, project management and supervision of site works.

Our project sectors vary from the city and regional scale, to community defining public spaces, buildings and interiors, delivering tomorrows architecture, today.

HISTORY

Originally formed as an architectural practice in London, UK, tangram has expanded to offer multi-disciplinary design, management and project delivery services from its regional bases in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia.

CEO

Hamdi studied architecture and urbanism in the UK, is a Chartered member of the RIBA and leads the tangram group of companies across the globe. He demands that everyone at team tangram work to the highest of global standards and best practice whilst providing the ultimate seamless service at the local level where our projects are delivered.



He has steered tangram from an architectural firm to the multi-disciplinary practice that it is today and who are recognised as “the company that is continually pushing the boundaries of design, with sustainability it its core”.

SANDRA WOODALL

DESIGN DIRECTOR

Sandra is a passionate environmentalist, architect, urbanist and researcher. She is a Fellow of the Royal Institute of British Architects, the Royal Society of Arts and an Academician at the UK’s Academy of Urbanism, who delivers diverse social infrastructure works across the whole MENA region.


She is the UAE country representative for the RIBA Gulf Chapter Committee, and curates and hosts an online Sustainable Development Series to bring global and regional experts together offering insights to address the urgent issue of climate change as it relates to the built environment, to provide a regional route to achieve Net Zero Carbon developments.
